Scott Shields
Interim Executive Director
Scott joined the Second Wind Fund team as the Interim Executive Director in September of 2024. Scott has more than 25 years of not-for-profit leadership experience serving with Family Tree, an organization dedicated to addressing the inter-related issues of child neglect and abuse, domestic violence and homelessness, including 16 years as the Chief Executive Officer. Prior to being hired as the CEO he served as the Chief Financial Officer at Family Tree for nearly nine years. Before joining Family Tree, Scott worked with a digital mobile phone start-up company and in public accounting.
During his career Scott has served on several Boards and Commissions, including the Board of Directors for Aurora@Home, the Better Business Bureau of Metro Denver, the Colorado Association of Family and Children’s Agencies (CAFCA), STRIDE Community Health Centers (then known as Metro Community Provider Network) and the PorchLight Family Justice Center.He was also a member of the Jeffco Connections Leadership Commission and IBM Smarter Cities Executive Task Force.
Lisa Smith
Director of Finance and Operations
Lisa joined the Second Wind Fund team as the Director of Finance and Operations in October 2022. Lisa has a diverse background working for several non-profits including Mile High Youth Corps as the Chief Financial Officer, the Colorado Water Trust as the Director of Finance and Administration and for Conservation Colorado (then Colorado Environmental Coalition) advocating for the protection and conservation of public lands. Lisa also worked for a couple of start ups in the travel industry, as a Wilderness Ranger for the US Forest Service, as a Financial Analyst for a large multi-national company, as a Peace Corps Volunteer in El Salvador, and as a popcorn specialist. Lisa has a Bachelors of Business Administration and a Masters of Science in Natural Resources. When Lisa is not sitting behind a computer crunching numbers she can be found adventuring in Colorado’s outdoors by foot, bike or ski and often with her happy golden retriever, Bella.
Olivia Pilcher
Program Director
Olivia joined the Second Wind Fund team in March of 2022. Prior to becoming the Program Director Olivia was the Western Slope Community Manager. She received her bachelor’s degree in political science and international affairs from Northern Arizona University in 2011 and a master’s degree in social work from University of Denver in 2015. Olivia has worked in various capacities in the social work field including positions in community resource navigation, substance use treatment, and disability rights advocacy. She is passionate about serving the community and ensuring youth have access to mental health care. Olivia lives in Grand Junction and enjoys spending time outdoors and enjoying all Western Colorado has to offer.
Anna Bishop
Development Director
Anna joined the Second Wind Fund team as Development Director in September 2023. To this role, Anna brings over eight years of experience in fundraising with organizations creating opportunities for people to thrive, many of which focused specifically on youth. She is passionate about connecting people and institutions with causes to create positive community impact. Her past roles have included Development and Communications Director for the Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center, Development Director for the Developmental Disabilities Resource Center, and Development Manager for Colorado Outward Bound School. Originally from Michigan, Anna holds a bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing with a minor in Nonprofit Administration from Grand Valley State University, and is a proud graduate of the Institute for Leaders in Development. When she is not working, Anna can be found wrangling her toddler, husband, and two rescue dogs, exploring Colorado, hanging at a local park, cooking, or in her garden.
Miriah Lawson
Program Support Specialist
Miriah joined the Second Wind Fund as the Program Support Specialist in September 2023. She has spent the last several years working for organizations in the legal field, most recently she worked for a non-profit specializing in disability law advocacy. She worked with individuals to help them advocate for themselves, while providing information and guidance to help them make the best decisions based on their individual needs and preferences. She has a passion for helping those who struggle with mental health, especially those in underserved communities. When not working, she enjoys trying to keep up with her toddler, camping, gardening, and listening to podcasts.
Molly Corrigan
Front Range Community Manager
Molly joined Second Wind Fund in December of 2023 as the Front Range Community Manager. Molly comes to us from Urban Peak where she spent the last seven years working with youth experiencing homelessness in Denver. She has worked in a wide range of positions, from Case Management to Housing Program Manager, and brings a variety of experience in the non-profit sector and county-level government work. She came to Colorado from northern Ohio in ’93, and while she misses the Midwest charm, Colorado is home. She’s a proud graduate of Metropolitan State University of Denver where she received her Bachelor of Human Services with a concentration in High-Risk Youth in 2016. A fierce advocate for removing the stigma around mental health, Molly is excited to connect with people all over the Front Range to support youth in getting the therapy they need. In her free time, Molly is happy trying out new restaurants, searching local craft fairs for new art and jewelry, seeing every musical she possibly can, and traveling to visit her daughter and son-in-law in Texas.
Abby Landmeier
Western Slope Community Manager
Abby joined Second Wind Fund in December of 2023 as the Western Slope Community Manager. Abby believes in the value of community and connection. Prior to joining the Second Wind Fund, she worked in the areas of frontline social work in roles at child welfare and public housing before working in nonprofit administration managing grants to nonprofits. She is an instructor for Mental Health First Aid, ASIST and QPR. Given her role, she believes strongly in balancing work with adventures such as concerts and engaging in creative pursuits.
Hadassah Lindstadt
Program Support Specialist
Hadassah joined Second Wind Fund in May of 2024 as the Program Support Specialist. Prior to working with Second Wind Fund Hadassah received her Bachelor’s Degree of Biological Sciences from the University of Northern Colorado in 2023. She has worked with adolescents in diverse settings for more than 7 years, including tutoring struggling youth for four years. In her free time, Hadassah loves paddleboarding, crafting, playing card games, and spending time with her two daughters.
